Sodium alginate syrup is primarily used to relieve symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion. It works by forming a protective barrier in the stomach, preventing stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus. This barrier provides relief from the discomfort caused by excess stomach acid and acid reflux.
